Human-Machine Interaction for Connected and Automated Vehicles

Our Goal

The Technical Committee (TC) on Human-Machine Interaction (HMI) for Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) is proposed aiming at promoting interdisciplinary research and international collaboration on the development and application of more intelligent, reliable, and secure HMI for on- and off-road CAVs. The TC focuses on the adoption of innovative theory and methodology, and constructive experience and practice to the design, optimization, and validation of HMI involved in the present and future CAV technologies

Join Us

Out TC promotes the application of both theoretical and practical approaches to the design and optimization of HMI for CAVs. We encourage the practice of the in-service, field, laboratory, and computational experiments to the validation of HMI designs. Our TC provides opportunities to continue professional and personal development through

  • Networking with specialists on the development and application of HMI for CAVs
  • Discussing and exchanging ideas and results with peers
  • Establishing interdisciplinary and international collaboration with experts
  • Acquiring recognition by presenting at TC events and/or publishing at TC special issues
  • Demonstrating leadership by helping organize TC events and propose special issues
