Our Goal
The goal of the IEEE SMC Evolving Intelligent Systems (eIS) Committee is to advance research and development in continuous and adaptive learning methods that enable intelligent systems to evolve autonomously in real-time and dynamic environments. This includes computationally efficient algorithms and models for online learning, incremental adaptation, and real-time decision making, with applications spanning evolvable classifiers, predictors, controllers, decision trees, fuzzy logic and neuro-fuzzy systems, neural networks and hybrid architectures. Interdisciplinary perspectives that address cognitive and psychological aspects of the evolution of individual systems are equally of interest.
