Editorial

Dear Readers,

This is the number two issue of the IEEE SMC Society eNewsletter for 2016.

The current e-Newsletter is packed with content on Society news: among many others, do not miss the Call for nominations of the Society Board of Governors and the Call for Proposals for the 2020 SMC Annual Conference to be held in the Americas!

This second issue of 2016 also includes several interesting reports on the activities of some of the Society Technical Committees and local Chapters, together with the latest table of contents of the Society publications. The issue also features numerous calls for papers and calls for participation to events and activities of the Society. In particular, October 9-12 are the dates reserved for the 2016 International SMC conference to be held in Budapest (Hungary). This is the Society’s flagship conference, and this year’s conference promises to be as successful as the past events. I look forward to seeing you all there.

The eNewsletter also features numerous job openings and some funding opportunities, together with an article describing the recently published European Research and Innovation Agenda on Cyber-physical Systems of Systems.

I look forward to receiving your contributions and making the eNewsletter the leading forum of our Society.
Send us your feedback!
