Here’s your chance to have a great time creating novel, and useful, robots and win an international competition: Expandable Robots – From Small to Big (S2B)! On October 8-9 at IEEE SMC 2018 in Miyazaki, Japan, show your colleagues how your robot can be packed in small volumes, deploy from its small package to larger volume/aperture, and function in its larger, expanded form.
First, let us know you’re interested!
- By September 15th, submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) to participate (title, team members, affiliation, email of team lead, abstract up to 250 words describing the solution in high level terms).
- By September 30th, Submit a video file (or link to download), video up to 5 minutes long, in which you present your robotic entry solution. Its narration/voice description should be in English. Subtitles/test during the video can be in English or Japanese.
You could get the chance to demonstrate your robot in person at the “Expandable Robots” competition in Miyazaki. Don’t wait! You could win the First Prize of $2500, Second Prize of $1500, or Third Prize of $1000. Visit the IEEE SMC 2018 web site for competition details.
