At the Faculty of Engineering of KU Leuven there are three vacant PhD positions in the area of Understanding and Controlling of Complex Systems.
The positions are in the framework of the project UCoCoS, funded by the European Commission and involving both academic and non-academic partners. Eligibility criteria, mobility requirements, and application instructions can be found at the UCoCoS website.
Each PhD student (called ESR = Early Stage Researcher) will receive a double or joint doctorate from two of the universities, and will spend equal time at both institutions.
Candidates have to comply with the mobility requirements for eligibility for the country of the first host.
ESR1: Analytical and numerical bifurcation analysis of delay-coupled systems

ESR4: Reduced modelling of large-scale networks
First Host: TUE (Netherlands), Second Host: EC Lille (France), Duration: 4 years
ESR5: Network design for decentralized control
