Call for Nominations - IEEE Systems Council Awards

James O. Gray Scholarships

Named in memory of James O. Gray, the scholarship recognizes students pursuing studies in process control systems engineering, plant automation or instrumentation & measurement.

Scholarship Awards

  1. $5,000 USD and a certificate for a Graduate student
  2. $5,000 USD and a certificate for an Undergraduate student

Decisions are made by the Systems Council Awards Committee. Funds will be paid to the school on behalf of the student.

Eligibility

IEEE student members studying process control systems engineering, plant automation or instrumentation & measurement at the graduate, undergraduate, or first professional degree level from an accredited university, with no other scholarships and a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.8 or above. Evaluations will be based on the application and stated financial need.

Nomination Instructions

Please submit the full graduate or undergraduate application package to the individuals below by no later than March 1, 2019.

Outstanding Service Award

Nominate Today

The IEEE Systems Council Outstanding Service Award honors long and distinguished service to the IEEE Systems Council at a level of dedication and achievement rarely demonstrated. This award is open to all IEEE members that support the Systems Council.

Nominees should have outstanding contributions over a substantial time period encompassing:

  • Creative and invigorating leadership
  • Exceptional administrative and managerial accomplishments
  • Initiation of new programs to encourage wider participation in Systems Council activities
  • General communication and advocacy of System Engineering to the technical community as a whole

Nomination Instructions:

Please submit the application and a letter detailing the Nominee’s Outstanding contributions as a single Microsoft Word or PDF document via email to the addresses below by March 1, 2019.
