Paper Types
Regular Papers
Authors are to submit full-length papers electronically through Papercept system. Regular papers may be up to 6 pages in length, with a maximum of 2 additional pages allowed for an extra fee. The total length must include the title, authors and affiliations, figures, and references. Submissions should be concise while still providing enough detail and references to enable thorough peer review.
Special Session Papers
Special Sessions are intended to provide an in-depth discussion of emerging and innovative topics. Proposers should download the special session proposal template, complete it, and submit it to the Special Sessions Chairs. Each Special Session organizer is expected to secure a minimum of six papers. All special session submissions will be reviewed according to the same standards as regular papers, and acceptance into a proposed session is not guaranteed.
Workshop Papers
These contributions are intended to promote contributions from applied research and applications, including work in progress, and facilitate increased collaboration between industrial and academic members of the IEEE SMC community. All submitted workshop papers undergo the same review process as regular papers and submission to the proposed session is not a guarantee of acceptance.
Submission Guidelines
Prepared manuscripts must adhere to the IEEE conference format, including paper title, authors and affiliations, abstract, figures, and references. Submissions are handled through the PaperCept system. Authors are to submit their submissions via PaperCept submission by the posted deadlines so it can be considered for review.
Authors should use the official IEEE conference templates in MS Word or LaTeX, where letter paper size is required. Please refrain from changing fonts, margins, spacing, or any other style elements in the templates. The final submission must be a PDF that conforms to IEEE Xplore® requirements for compatibility and accessibility.
Only original work should be submitted and submissions are not to be previously published or under review elsewhere. For accepted papers, at least one author is expected to register and present at the conference or via proxy. If a paper is not presented, it will be deemed a “no-show” and will be removed from post-conference distribution. No-show papers will not be available in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library or other public-access IEEE forums.
Accepted and presented papers are copyrighted to IEEE and published in conference proceedings, which will be eligible for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® Digital Library, once it meets the requirements of an IEEE quality review. In addition, authors are generally permitted to share and post their papers, provided they adhere to the IEEE’s publication guidelines.
