IEEE SMC Society South-Eastern Michigan Chapter
The IEEE SMC Society South-Eastern Michigan Chapter has been formed on 12 April 2007. Currently, the chapter has 14 members. The recent activities of the chapter include:
- The Distinguished Lecture by SMC President Professor Daniel S. Yeung "Recent Development in Generalization Error for Supervised Learning Problem with Applications in Model Selection and Feature Selection", June, 2008.
- The chapter has been actively involved in organization of 2nd Workshop on Intelligent Vehicle Control System held in conjunction with IEEE SMC sponsored 5th International Conference on Informatics in Control, Automation and Robotics, Madeira, Portugal, May 2007. Five members of SMC SEM chapter participated in the workshop program committee and the chapter chair was an organizer and a chair of the workshop.
- The Chapter presentation at IEEE South-Eastern Michigan Section 2008 Spring Conference "Intelligent Manufacturing Applications at Ford Motor Company" by Nestor Rychtyckyj, April 2008.
- The Chapter presentation at IEEE South-Eastern Michigan Section 2007 Fall Conference by "Data Fusion-Driven Warning Arbitration for Automotive Collision Warning Systems" by Anatoli Koulinitch, November 2007.
