With great pleasure we announce the launch of our new journal: Annals of Fuzzy Sets, Fuzzy Logic and Fuzzy Systems (hereafter AFSLS). The AFSLS will publish papers on latest advances in theory and applications of fuzzy sets, fuzzy logic: theoretical and practical aspects and fuzzy systems. Applied papers demonstrating the usefulness of fuzzy methodology in practical problems are also welcome. The honorable Editorial Members and the Publisher are very committed to build the journal as one of leading international journals in mathematical sciences in the next few years. Besides the basic aim of publishing high quality peer-reviewed research articles, sufficient care is given to the timely disposal of the articles received for publication. Generally, we make decision on an article received in three months time and publish the same if duly recommended by the experts within next three months of acceptance.

Submissions

Submissions are being accepted for the current and future issues of this journal. Prospective authors may submit manuscript by the following way:

Reviewing/Indexing:

Papers appearing in AFSLS will be reviewed/indexed in Mathematical Reviews, MathSciNet and Zentralblatt fur Mathematik databases.

Editorial Policy:

Manuscripts will be considered on the condition that they have been submitted only to AFSLS, that they have not been published already, and that they are not under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. All published research articles in this journal will undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial screening and anonymous refereeing by independent expert referees. Articles will immediately be put before the screening committee of the publication which will decide to send the papers to referees/members of the editorial board for their opinion with a request to pass on the same in four weeks?time or less. Once we get clear recommendation for publication, the paper may be included in an issue to appear next.

Article Processing Charges and Reprints:

The publisher, being a new one, depends on the payment of page charges and sale of additional reprints for its operation. That is why the authors with institutional or grant support will be requested to pay the publication charge of Euro 20.00 per page to help support the journal. Contributors will receive twenty-five reprints of papers ex-gratis. Articles are accepted for publication and published solely on the basis of merit.
