Welcome to the March 2010 issue of the eNewsletter.

Brain machine interface (BMI) is currently a very active research area, as evidenced by several activities in last year's SMC annual conference. This issue of the eNewsletter publishes a featured article on BMI, "A simulation study on the generative neural ensemble decoding algorithms research" by Sung-Phil Kim and Min-Ki Kim. In this article, the two researchers presents their results on the population vector algorithm (PVA) and the Kalman filter (KF) for neural signal decoding. I would like to thank the authors for their contribution.
