There are new and challenging programs and projects aiming at the AI robotic system in future. I will introduce some of the research projects for realization of the future robot in various fields by back-casting technologies from the 2050 to the current ones. It is important to have new ideas for the physical AI robots rather than not only applications of conventional AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toshio Fukuda received Dr. Eng. from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1977. Currently, He is Professor Emeritus Nagoya University, Professor Waseda University and Vice President of E-JUST. His major is bio-robotics, especially Micro and Nano Robotics. Dr. Fukuda is IEEE President and CEO (2020), the IEEE Director of Division X, Systems and Control (2017-2018), IEEE Region 10 Director (2013-2014) and served President of IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (1998-1999), Director of the IEEE Division X, Systems and Control (2001- 2002), Co-founding Editor-in-Chief of IEEE \/ ASME Transactions on Mechatronics (2000-2002) and Editor-in-Chief of ROBOMECH Journal, Springer (2013-). He was Founding President of IEEE Nanotechnology Council (2002-2003, 2005). He was elected as a member of Science Council of Japan (2008-2013). Hence, data mining and statistical analysis of network data have been employed to determine traffic loads, analyze patterns of users&#8217; behavior, predict future network traffic, and detect traffic anomalies. The Internet has historically been prone to failures and attacks that significantly degrade its performance, affect the Internet connectivity, and cause routing disconnections. Frequent cases of various cyber threats have been encountered over the years and, hence, detection of anomalous behavior is a topic of great interest in cybersecurity. In described case studies, traffic traces collected by various collection sites are used to classify network anomalies. Various anomaly and intrusion detection approaches based on machine learning have been employed to analyze collected data. Deep learning, broad learning, gradient boosted decision trees, and reservoir computing algorithms were used to develop models based on collected datasets that contain Internet worms, viruses, power outages, ransomware events, router misconfigurations, Internet Protocol hijacks, and infrastructure failures in times of conflict. The reported results indicate that while performance of machine learning models greatly depends on the used datasets, they are viable tools for detecting the Internet anomalies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Ljiljana Trajkovic received the Dipl. Ing. degree from University of Pristina, Yugoslavia, the M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from University of California at Los Angeles. She is currently a professor in the School of Engineering Science, Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests include communication networks and dynamical systems. Dr. Trajkovic served as IEEE Division X Delegate\/Director, President of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, and President of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems. She is a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society and was a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Circuits and System Society. Nevertheless, interactions between these two fields of research used to be limited conventionally. However, artificial intelligence technologies have been increasingly applied to support various human factors tasks in recent years. As an example in traffic management systems, in which human operators play an essential role in fields that require human intervention, decision-making, and control, artificial intelligence has been employed to effectively identify, analyse, and monitor those mental states such as fatigue, workload, and stress for ensuring their well-being, enhancing performance, and maintaining operational safety and efficiency. This speech will cover some aspects of AI in human factors, inclusive of background: AI and human factors, the role of AI in human factors, applications of AI in human factors for air traffic management (ATM), and applications of AI in human factors for vessel traffic management (VTM). Case studies in AI-aided human factors with respect to several aspects of traffic management will be provided. E.g., human fatigue, which may result in inefficiency, impaired alertness, and even a high probability of human error, and it has been identified as the primary cause of many traffic accidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chun-Hsien Chen is Full Professor, Director of the Design Stream, and Professor-in-Charge of the Design &amp; Human Factors Lab in the School of Mechanical &amp; Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received his BS degree in Industrial Design from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA. He has several years of product design &amp; development experience in the industry. His teaching and research interests are design science in product design and development; engineering\/design informatics for managing\/ supporting digital design &amp; manufacturing; and human factors and management of human performance. He has more than 300 publications in these areas. Prof. Chen has served as a Technical Reviewer for National Science and Technology Awards (Singapore), National Research Foundation of Korea, The Knowledge Foundation (KK) H\u00d6G 16 Project, Sweden, and a Judge for Pin Up Design Awards (South Korea), an Advisory Board member for ISTE (International Society of Transdisciplinary Engineering), an Advisory Committee member for various international conferences. Prof. Chen has been appointed as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Advanced Engineering Informatics (ADVEI) since January 2013 and Associate Editor of Space Mission Planning &amp; Operations (SMPO) since August 2022. Besides, he is an editorial board member of Journal of Engineering Design (since 2022), and Recent Patents on Engineering (since 2007).
