Technical
Committee on Education
Technology and Training
Who
we are
TC Chair
Wuhan Institute of Technology, China
Our
goals
With the rapid development of information technology,
a new set of learning environments including virtual classrooms, virtual
laboratories and virtual universities are being developed. These new
learning environments, however, also introduce new problems that need
to be addressed. On the technical side, there is a need for the deployment
of effective technologies on web-based education. On the learning side,
the cyber mode of learning is very different from traditional classroom-based
learning. The goal of this technical committee is to invite researchers
from various fields to present and discuss their ideas on education
technology and training.
What we are doing
Organized a special session on Machine Learning in Education and
Training of The Seventh International Conference on Machine Learning
and Applications (ICMLA'08) in San Diego , California, USA
Planning First International Conference on Education Technology
and Training (ICETT) at the end of 2008 or at the beginning of 2009
Planning Special Issue for IEEE Trans. on SMC
Why don't
you join us?
Join us in this newly created TC on education technology
and training. The mission of technical committee on education technology
and training is to integrate the diverse interests of education technology
and training research community and to improve communication among the
different fields. It will serve to coordinate the scheduling of education
technology and training conferences, facilitate special conference sessions
and journal issues on learning technology, organize tutorials focused
on education technology and training, and contribute towards a new IEEE
Transactions on education technology and training.
