Scope and Title Change of the IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics
In November 2011, the IEEE Technical Activities Board approved the scope and title change of the three SMC Transactions. Following recommendations from the 2006 IEEE Periodicals Review, numerous discussions with the SMCS membership and positive feedback, the Society's Transactions will be more clearly focused by renaming them as follows:
- IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part A: Systems and Humans will become IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems
- IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part B: Cybernetics will become
- IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics
- IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Part C: Applications & Reviews) will become IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems
The renaming will be effective January 2013, however, the transition of submitted manuscripts will take effect throughout the second half of 2012. Authors will be consulted before their manuscript is moved.
