Call for Nomination - SMC BoG Election
The Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society is soliciting nominees for the election of Members-at-Large to the 2012 SMCS Board of Governors.
The Nominations Committee will select ten candidates from which five Members-at-Large will be elected by the Society membership by the end of the year.
Additional candidates may be submitted as petition candidates. These nominations must be made by written petition, signed by at least two percent of the SMCS members, and filed with the SMCS Secretary at least 28 days before the election (deadline: September 15, 2011).
The written petition must include the following information about each proposed candidate:
- Full name and contact information
- IEEE member number
- Contributions to the profession
- Contributions to the SMCS and the IEEE
Each candidate must be an SMCS member in good standing and be willing to attend the Annual Meeting of the SMCS Board of Governors, usually held in the first week of October (with expenses reimbursed by the SMC Society), and participate actively in the Society's activities.
Nominees must be submitted to the SMCS Secretary, (link “SMCS Secretary” to ) by August 15, 2011. The names of ten candidates for Member-at-Large will be announced at the end of August.
