IEEE SMC2004 is shaping up!
The IEEE 2004 International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics is shaping up beyond expectations. The conference, to be held in the Netherlands’Congress Centre, The Hague, Netherlands, from October 10 through October 13, is expected to attract a larger audience than the SMC society has seen in recent years. Over 1600 abstracts were submitted, over 1300 were accepted after peer review, and about 1100 papers have been included in the proceedings. Read More...

Logo Design Competition
SMC members are invited to participate in a design competition to determine a logo for our Society. The winner of the competition will receive free registration to an SMC sponsored or co-sponsored conference of his/her choice. All submissions must be received by midnight December 20, 2004. IEEE Membership Dues - Minimum Income Provision:

Applicants who certify that their prior year's income did not exceed US $11,300 or equivalent are granted a 50% reduction in IEEE dues, regional assessment and dues for one IEEE Society and its optional publications. Please submit written certification with application and payment. You may find further information at: http://www.ieee.org/membership/dues.html

If you qualify for this special provision, you have the opportunity to benefit SMC Society membership for $ 5.00 per year only.

Student members are NOT eligible for the Minimum Income Provision.
