A post-doctoral candidate who is a US citizen is desired
for a position investigating issues of humans and automation in network-centric
information systems. Potential areas of interest include: data collection
and management of sensor constellations and swarms, multi-modal sensor
technologies, multi-sensor tasking and resource management, automated
or assisted data correlation and fusion, information and knowledge management,
data mining, data visualization, automated situation assessment, automated
decision aides, collaborative tools, and human-computer interfaces.
The start date is 1 September, 2005 (negotiable). The
funding is assured for 2 years and the post-doc will have the ability
to define more specifically the scope of interest. Post-docs in the Humans
and Automation Lab have the option to teach one or more seminars in their
area of expertise.
