IEEE SMC Technical Committee on
Media Computing (TCMC)
by Zhi-Qiang LIU

With the blessing of the BOG of IEEE SMC, We pleased to announce that TCMC is now officially established and would welcome anyone who is interested in the activities relevant to TCMC. The Technical Committee on Media Computing offers researchers, engineers, media professionals and user groups a working forum in which they will be able to collaborate in developing media systems that serve the user. This committee will regularly organize workshops and special tracks in SMC conferences, cross-society and cross-disciplinary activities, and publications in books and journals on topics most relevant to Media Computing.

It is our pleasure to announce the establishment of the organization of the committee and report to you on our planned technical activities.
