IEEE SMC 2005 is dedicated to Professor Andrew P. Sage for his outstanding contributions to systems theory, decision support systems and for national and international leadership in systems engineering.

CONFERENCE PROGRESS REPORT

IEEE 2005 International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics
October 10-12, 2005, Waikoloa Hilton Village, the Big Island, Hawaii, USA

Location:
The 2005 IEEE SMC international conference will be held on the Big Island of Hawaii, USA. The venue is Waikoloa Hilton Village, arguably the best resort hotel in the State of Hawaii. The premises includes a monorail system and a boat, by which guest can check into their rooms. The famed Big Island’s active volcano and the continuous arrival of melted lava into the Pacific Ocean at night is a spectacular scene not to be missed.

Theme: System of Systems Engineering

Call for attendance: SMC 2005 provides a world-class forum for all aspects of Systems Engineering. The role of this field in all aspects of science, technology, security, education, etc. will be covered. Also covered are human-machine systems and emerging cybernetics, computational intelligence and soft computing. The theme of the conference has attracted many papers, panel sessions and some exhibitions from the aerospace industry. The following are the keynote speakers:
